Here they are! Proof that we really DO have a Christmas tree.
Success! We managed to stand it upright without any tipping or falling. We had to employ the Cassidy household trick of tying it to the wall. This was the first tree either of us has ever had while living on our own, so we were pretty excited about it! Even figuring out the logistics of setting the tree up was a bit fun. We did have to rearrange some things to fit it in the room, though. With radiators and heat vents on about 80% of the wall space in our apartment, we had to work with very limited options to avoid potential fire situations. It worked out perfectly, though!
Anthony took over camera duty to photograph the decorating process:
I bought a new cake stand that same night (I love cake stands!), and we relaxed on the couch with our usual grocery-night dinner (a Marcy classic!):
and Anthony brought in some firewood :)
